Originally from the Mountain West, Brian Owen is a New York-based actor who escaped a short-haired fertility cult and now lives a long-locked, childless vagabond’s dream. His favorite roles are husband to his wife Nicole and official bellyscratcher of their dog Ms. Starbara Stanwyck. He has had the privilege of working in theaters across the US, seeing parts of the country he never would have otherwise known. You can currently hear him as Dogberry in Play On Podcast's Much Ado About Nothing and on the Original Cast Album of Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical, both streaming now! Selected credits: Sesame Street, Rupert Holmes’ Accomplice, The Mousetrap, The 39 Steps, Boeing Boeing, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Noises Off!, five times riding the hurricane of Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, the premieres of Dog Man: The Musical and Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, Peter and the Starcatcher, and too many productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream to count. He is beyond grateful to make his living as an actor, a career made possible by communities showing up to support professional theater, and his amazing team at Boals, Winnett and Associates, for whom he has unending gratitude and love. He is a proud Union member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA. He earned an MFA in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory and a BFA in Musical Theater from the Santa Fe University of Art and Design (RIP).
